FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Uncompahgre Water Users Association, CO Selects TruePoint Solutions

The Uncompahgre Project, operated by the Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association (UVWUA), is located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in west-central Colorado. Project lands surround the town of Montrose and extend 34 miles along both sides of the Uncompahgre River to Delta, Colorado. Project features include Taylor Park Dam and Reservoir, Gunnison Tunnel, 7 diversion dams, 128 miles of main canals, 438 miles of laterals, 216 miles of drains and 100 miles of pipelines. The systems divert water from the Uncompahgre and Gunnison Rivers to serve over 82,000 acres of project land. In the past few years UVWUA has partnered with the Delta Montrose Electric Association to install hydroelectric facilities along the South Canal to produce electric power.

As a progressive and innovative organization, UVWUA found itself in need to upgrade its water accounting and billing programs. The software they had been using for several years could not meet their business needs. UVWUA recently contracted with software and services company, TruePoint Solutions to meet the water accounting and billing needs, improve water deliveries, data entry, operation efficiencies, customer service, and electronic transfer of information from the field to the office.

UVWUA will implement TruePoint’s TrueBill, TrueAIM, and field solution, TrueCanal.

TruePoint will implement TrueBill which will handle all aspects of Utility Billing, Customer Account Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections Management, Central Cash Management, and ad-hoc report generation.

TrueAIM will enable UVWUA field based staff to more effectively take water orders, monitor consumption and effectively exchange data from the field back to the office for timely, more accurate billing of their agricultural irrigation customers.
