Sacramento Suburban Water District Goes Live with TrueBill™ Utility Billing and TrueCIP Customer Portal Applications

The District’s vision of integrated Utility Billing, Asset Management, GIS and Financial applications is a reality.

“After the many hours of preparation, conversion, and training, we here at Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) are very excited to be up and running on our new Customer Information System, TrueBill. The staff from TruePoint was very knowledgeable and professional and helped to make the transition as smooth as possible said Annette O’Leary, District Administrative Services Manager.

Being that it is a web-based application, this allows for the seamless integration with our other enterprise systems. The staff at SSWD, from the field to the office, find the functionality and ease-of-use make it easier to streamline their daily functions. Regular processes are easy and quickly completed and the tracking and logging of changes are extremely beneficial.

Customer service representatives can get a complete view of both customer billing, service order, work order and GIS-based information from a single system. Because of this tight integration between systems, the potential for data entry errors has been all but eliminated.

This increased availability to customer information as well as decreased processing times have enabled the District’s Customer Service staff to respond more quickly to customer inquiries and provide a much higher level of service to their customers.

On time, On-budget Implementation

TruePoint delivered its fully implemented solution to the District on time and on budget, with services including system design, project planning and scope, systems integration, data conversion, training, configuration, system testing and overall project management.

Products Implemented:

  • TrueBill (Utility Billing) manages all aspects of Utility Billing, Customer Account Management, Service Orders, Accounts Receivable, Collections Management, Central Cash Management, and ad-hoc report generation.
  • TrueCIP (Customer Information Portal) is an online application that gives the District’s customers immediate access to current account status, detailed consumption information and the ability to make payments.
  • TrueCPM (Conservation Program Management) will be implemented as a Phase II application.
